PROFILE: Metamore is ready to transform the game
Metamore AKA The Voice of the Roads is a force of nature. Whether turning his talent to emceeing, acting, scriptwriting, producing or riding riddims as a rootz vocalist, he always brings a unique style and a conscious energy to the mix.
Born in Lilongwe, Malawi, after a few short stays in Australia and America his mother eventually settled him in Birmingham, England. This is the place where his lyrical journey began.
"Playing basketball got me into hip hop and hip hop got into poetry," says the well-travelled lyricist.
Metamore now hones his craft with compete dedication, using the power of words to educate, entertain and elevate those who need it most.
In preparation for his highly anticipated debut album ‘4Di’, (slated for release in July 2010), Metamore has released a limited edition mixtape ‘SOS (Surfing On Soundwaves)’, which is now available as a FREE download for a limited period on his website www.metamoremixtape.tk.
Having put the work in on the live circuit, the studio and online, Metamore is ready to put Birmingham on the map and a smile on his mum’s face.
