PROFILE: Trozion comes of age

Trozion is one of the most promising young emcees to arrive on the UK scene. An intelligent artist with swagger and style, the 15-years old North Londoner has already won the attention of grime godfather Wiley and producer of the moment, Dot Rotten. Despite Trozion's status as an emerging artist, both beat makers were suitably impressed to offer productions for his forthcoming mixtape.

At present, Trozion is riding off the buzz created by his ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ street track and the conscious stylings of 'Guidance' (featuring Badness), an uplifting Black History Month tribute track profiled heavily on Urban Development’s website.

Hard work and dedication has rewarded him with opportunities to perform at Stratford Circus, Rich Mix, Ocean and Notting Hill Carnival; often sharing the bill with big names such as Ghetto, Marvell, Tribal Man and K.I.G. His recent live set at Industry Takeover showcased an artist with the confidence and charisma to command the stage and move the crowd.

Armed with quality bars, impeccable wordplay and a sound that blends grime, rock, pop, hip hop and reggae, Trozion has his eye firmly fixed on making inroads into the mainstream. Comfortable experimenting with all genres of music, this is one well-rounded emcee capable of thinking outside the box.

Presently juggling exam and studio responsibilities, Trozion’s main focus in 2010 is to develop as an artist and complete his mixtape, which features production from Dot Rotten, Skeamz and Lewi White, to name a few. Earmarked for a March release, the new material will mark the coming of age for one of the top youts in the game.
