DJs need more than just good taste in music, these days it’s as much about technical skills and keeping up with new technology. Whether you are interested in live club sets or radio DJ format, Urban Development presents a pioneering new course with one of the UK’s finest - DJ Wonder. As an internationally respected DJ and producer, for the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Sway and Kano, Wonder has a wealth of experience.

You will learn:
• Setting up equipment
• Track selection
• Beat matching
• Cross fading
• Reading crowd response

You will also try out the latest new technology available to DJs. Using packages like Ableton Live & Serato, you will stay one step ahead of the competition by manipulating and re-working tracks for live sets and radio.

OUTCOMES:
• Bronze Youth Arts Award
• Recorded mix or podcast
• Podcast uploaded to UD Website and iTunes
• The opportunity to play a set at an Urban Development event
 
The course ends with a fully professional club night, where you will have the chance to try out your skills on a live dancefloor.
