Eastside Stories is proud to present London Stand Up - Urban Honours & Awards on July 3rd 2009 at Stratford Circus.

This summer’s essential urban event London Stand Up, will pay homage to past and present London music legends by celebrating their achievements. All artists selected for honours have been nominated by the Eastside Stories panel. When making their selection, the team considered record sales, longevity, significant achievement, chart success, consistency, social influence, leadership, raw talent, relevancy and showmanship. The artists participating in this year’s Urban Honours & Award show are sure to set the standard and deliver a great show.

London Stand Up will also feature a talent show to profile emerging artists that aspire to scale the heights, and reach the level of those honoured. Through our rigorous audition process, we have selected three top acts to battle it out in the following exciting categories.

• MC Rap Act
• Singer / Vocal Act
• Dance Act

These acts will be competing for recognition from the crowd and the title Best Up & Coming Act. On the night we will really see who can make London Stand Up.

The event will also include a fashion show, featuring a host of innovative UK clothing labels and designers, as well as a raffle, producer battles and a few surprises.

About Eastside Stories

Eastside Stories is a team of young promoters working as part of the Music Industry Project course, run by DV8 Training in association with Waltham Forest College. The Music Industry Project teaches students how to organise, plan and promote a professional, community-based showcase.

Previous events have all been sold out with headlining acts such as Bashy, Chipmunk, Ghetto, K.I.G , Wretch 32 and more.
