Following a great roof top extravaganza in August with Roachford wowing the crowds in the open air on the roof and Donae’o proving why he knows how to party hard in the basement, ILUVLIVE will continue to set the standard with its series of Summer Specials.

These will start at the earlier time of 7pm and kick off with a Jerk Chicken BBQ on the roof terrace with some funky acoustic accompaniment. Then its downstairs for some serious live music. DJ’s will also be busting the tunes of the ground floor if you want to get your groove on and happy hour runs from 7-8.30pm with 2 for 1 on cocktails and selected beers and the BBQ is a bargain at £6.50.

Headlining on 23rd August is Mighty Moe of the mighty Heartless Crew who will also be celebrating the launch of his new single, 'Old Skool Daze'. Teaming up with Smasher on the buttons and a guest verse from the elusive Wiley 'Old Skool Daze' is an epic throwback to the raving hey days of the 1990s. Mighty Moe aka Metric Moses is a veteran and pioneer of the UK underground. Originally a Hip Hop DJ, he joined the Heartless Crew as a teenager, picked up the microphone and developed his unique vibrant, catchy style and intelligent lyrical word play. Support comes in the form of the incredible talent that is Laura White (X Factor finalist 08 – the one that everyone was shocked got voted off as had been a firm favourite to win), multi talented singer songwriter Maverick Sabre fresh from signing a major record deal, the haunting soul vocals of Daley, Soloman and new girl trio, RD.

Launched in London in June 2004, ILUVLIVE is a live event success story. With few live showcases open to home grown music, ILUVLIVE has helped numerous performers present their artistry with a full live band to music industry virtuosos, journalists and fans alike. The last three years has seen the likes of Kano, Taio Cruz, Bashy, Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder, Katy B, Ndubz, Tawiah, Roll Deep, Donaeo, DJ Ironik, Crazy Cousinz, Ms Dynamite, Natty, Cocknbullkid, Laura Izibor, Ghetts, MPHO, Sway, Gracious K, Shystie, Tinie Tempah, McClean, The Stow, and The Thirst grace the ILUVLIVE stage alongside some of the UK’s most promising new talent.

Master of homegrown talent Ras Kwame (BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra) has been involved in the night since its inception and is still our regular Master of Ceremonies, ably supported by Twin B (BBC 1Xtra), up and coming comedian, Lil Man.

Each night features six acts all playing with a live band plus the ILUVLIVE 60 second open mic which has now reached legendry status. Even established acts sometimes get involved, just for the hell of it, alongside newcomers. Anyone can sign up for the open mic but the 8-12 slots fill up fast and the competition is ferocious with the two acts most popular with the audience winning coveted slots at the following weeks show.
