Industry Takeover internships:

Industry Takeover monthly seminars and showcases are all about empowering the next generation of emcees, singers, DJs and young music industry professionals. This October Industry Takeover returns to Rich Mix for it’s third phase.

• What we’re looking for: One dedicated Industry Takeover intern to support the UD staff and team of Creatives to make this year’s series bigger and better than ever before. The ideal candidates should be passionate about urban music and be involved in music beyond just listening to it. We need someone who is willing to get involved in planning and assisting with delivering all areas of this years’ Industry Takeover series. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends at events, as well as doing general admin tasks in the office.

• What you can expect: Hands-on experience of all aspects of Industry Takeover 2010/11 and experience working behind the scenes on live events and seminars. We offer time with a dedicated professional development mentor for all our internships, as well as a zone 1-4 travelcard and lunch expenses. In return, we ask for a commitment to 2 days a week for 15 weeks.

REMEMBER!

To be eligible to apply for any of our internships, you must be UNDER 25 years old, work less than 16 hours a week and live or study in East London. You need to be able to show your knowledge & passion for urban music, your understanding of past Industry Takeover events, and demonstrate that you know about all areas of Urban Development’s work.
