Having hosted a fabulous run of weekly sessions at The Queen Of Hoxton since April, ILUVLIVE will be taking a summer sabbatical with just two ILUVLIVE Summer Session Specials over the summer.

These will start at the earlier time of 7pm and kick off with a Jerk Chicken BBQ on the roof terrace with some funky acoustic accompaniment courtesy of the ILLERSAPIANS.Then its downstairs for some serious live

music. Headlining on 26th July is the king of Funky, Donaeo who will also be celebrating the launch of his new single ‘I’m Fly’. Donaeo has been continuously putting out club smashes since his debut single, ‘Devil in a Blue Dress’ back in 2007. If you’ve not seen him with his full live band, it’s a must see as he brings new meaning to the term he created with the hit, ‘Party Hard’!

On the roof we have very special guest, Roachford performing tracks acoustically from his new album ‘Addictive’. Roachford helped redefine black music in the 80’s and 90’s with top ten hits including ‘Cuddly Toy’, ‘Naked Without You’ and ‘How Could I’ blazing the trail for UK black acts to do alternative music.

Support acts on the night will be Graziella and Shar, 2009 X Factor finalists of Ms Frank fame. The girls team up with Cherelle Bastquine to showcase new material for a brand new project. It’s early days for the threesome but catch them here first! Other acts include south London lyricist, Gfrsh, Mancunian emcee, RIO, three-piece band Angha and previous open mic winners.

R.I.O is a solo artist from Manchester, who after working the underground mixtape circuit as an MC for years, has now made the transition to artist. His debut single Narrow Roads was produced by Bless Beats & Mos Wanted was championed by Mistajam, Cameo, Ras Kwame, DJ Q & more!

DJ’s will also be busting the tunes of the ground floor on both nights if you want to get your groove on and happy hour runs from 7-8.30pm with 2 for 1 on cocktails and selected beers and delicious food is just a fiver!

The line up for the 23rd August Carnival Special will be announced shortly.
