FEATURE: UD Vocal Collective get the crowd moving at Paradise Gardens Festival

On Saturday the 19th of June, Victoria Park became a paradise garden abundant with an amalgamation of different music, theater and live exhibitions. The two day festival saw thousands of people flock to the park on Saturday and Sunday to listen to live music programmed by The Barbican, Urban Development, Rising Tide and Young London Into Music.

Aside from the music there were performances by avant-garde theatre and stalls in the urban village fête for festival revellers to explore. Urban Development had heads jerking and feet shuffling at the Young London Into Music tent as part of the CREATE 10 project which will be giving a platform to the best of new music from under 25’s in east London throughout the summer.

Memorable performances include Miss D who smashed the stage with her soulful sounds and funky influences. Nu Brand Flexxx created an endorphin rush in the crowd with a rendition of their new single, Runway. The legendary Urban Development Vocal Collective who have appeared alongside the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Shola Ama and Bashy performed a snippet of their work.
