WORK BASED LEARNING

There are a range of ways you can get involved with UD. As well as artist development, we invest in developing the skills of our ever growing UD family, which includes everyone who comes into contact with us.
Our work-based learning programme includes:

- volunteering opportunities, mainly linked to our shows at Stratford Circus and other venues

What we’re looking for: A flair for writing and editing copy, great communication skills, great at building contacts and good knowledge of social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, YouTube etc)
What you can expect: Hands-on experience of all aspects of UD's marketing campaigns and invaluable experience working behind the scenes on live events and seminars.

Project Internships
What we’re looking for: Great planning and people skills, good written and spoken English, willingness to take on a wide range of tasks and get involved with the team.
What you can expect: Gain experience dealing directly with venues, exhibitions and performers. Hands on experience of a range of events tasks from planning to evaluation.

Studio Internships (not running until 2011)
What we’re looking for: Basic sound engineering experience (or a willingness to learn), availability to attend some evening sessions.
What you can expect: Opportunity to meet and look after studio clients, training around studio equipment testing and set-up.

Important Information
We offer time with a dedicated professional development mentor for all our internships, as well as a zone 1-4 travelcard and lunch expenses. In return, we ask for a commitment to 2 days a week for 12 weeks.
How do I apply?
To be eligible to apply for any of our internships, you must work less than 16 hours a week and live or are studying in one of the following London boroughs: Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest or Greenwich.
