Urban Development, in association with Rich Mix, will be ‘taking over’ the multi-media arts complex in Shoreditch, East London to bring you 8 hours of edutainment, jam-packed with performances from the hottest names in urban music, a range of innovative seminars, open mic sessions, essential masterclasses, workshops and exclusive urban cinema screenings.

A BRIEF HISTORY

Since the launch event, in January 2009, Industry Takeover has built a reputation for offering professional development, entertainment, education and networking opportunities to hundreds of industry-minded youth from across the capital.

Industry Takeover began its second phase in October 2009, with a series of monthly seminars, open mics and showcases at Stratford Circus. These sessions were managed by Urban Development’s youth events team, the UD Creatives, and delivered seminars on publishing, image, networking, as well as top performances from Marvell, Cherri V, Lil Simz, Cynikal, Fuzzy Logic, The Stow, Tribal Man, Cynthia Erivo, Trozion, Clement Marfo and open mic champion Roxxxan.

And now the Industry Takeover All-Day Seminar & Showcase is back and bigger than ever for it’s third season in 2011 with yet another heavyweight line up. Guests on the day read like a who's-who of urban music, including Wiley, Wale Adeyemi, Jonathan Shalit, Tempa T, Wretch 32, Charlie Sloth, Yasmin and more.
