The UD Vocal Collective (also known as UDVC) is one of the most successful projects to emerge from UDHQ. Boasting such founding members as Labrinth, Talay Riley, ShezAr, the UDVC is all about providing young people from east London with an opportunity to gain new vocal, performance and song writing skills and access to the music industry.

Thursday 7 July saw Urban Development put on a show like no other with some of the hottest names in urban music descending onto Hackney Empire for Re:Definition. Not a concert or a theatre show but a live performance that strives to “refix, remix and refresh” urban music, and boy, did that happen! We're pleased to announce that east London rapper Mikill Pane, bashment queen Lady Chann and hot R&B hopeful Abel Miller have been added to our epic line up for Re:Definition, taking place on 7 July at Hackney Empire.
