2008 - Madonna breaks Elvis Presley's 37-year record for the most Billboard Top 10 singles by an artist. "4 Minutes," featuring Justin Timberlake, becomes her 37th Top 10 hit. She had tied Elvis' record in 2005 with Top 10 hit No. 36, "Hung Up."
2000 - Bo Diddley filed suit against Nike for using his name and image
without permission. Nike is accused of continuing to use his image
after a contract expired in 1991.
