Braving the harsh weather conditions outside and most probably a sardine-like tube journey through the City, live music lovers flocked to Stratford Circus to catch Urban Development’s ‘Unplugged Sessions’ featuring Donae’o and guests.
Part of Urban Development’s annual contribution to the prestigious London Jazz Festival, Unplugged is all about urban music “stripped back and unplugged.”

PROFILE: KELE LE ROC, SINGER / SONGWRITER

You can’t talk about UK R&B without mentioning Kele Le Roc. Back in 1995, when US R&B ruled the airwaves and charts, she released the promo single ‘Let Me Know’ and found herself touring with the likes of Mona Lisa, Horace Brown and Total. She would go on to record her debut album ‘Everybody’s Somebody’ in L.A. collaborating with the likes of Coolio and the late Roger Troutman. The debut single ‘Little Bit Of Lovin’ was released in 1998, a huge success reaching No. 8 in the UK chart.
PROFILE: Josef Green fades out the competition

Rarely in urban music do you come across young artists crafting mature music. Singer/song writer Josef Green is one such exception. Armed with a polished approach to music and a vocal style that belies his years, he’s already recorded tracks with R&B legend Kele Le Roc, rising guitar hero Leon Jean-Marie and performed at the 02 Arena. Despite his rapid ascension, he’s kept a level head and turned down a two year recording contract in lieu of college.
