Industry Takeover Seminar & Showcase – Monthlies

Dedicated to equipping attendees with valuable knowledge and industry insight to start on the right track. Back for its third season in 2010-11, the seminars explored marketing and promotion (‘The Launch’), women in music (‘Beats, Business & Beauty), generating income (‘Rhymes 2 Riches’), beatmakers (‘On The Record’) and music and politics (‘Talking The Hardest’).

Speakers included artists Ghetts, Goldielocks and Bless Beats, representatives from The Office for National Statistics, and industry insiders Austin Daboh (BBC 1Xtra), journalist Jodie McIntyre (The Independent), agent Nick Matthews (Chipmunk, Devlin, Sway, Aloe Blacc), DJ & stylist Sarah Young (Toddla T, Jammer and Swindle) and Logan Sama (Kiss FM).

Audiences also had the opportunity to witness performances from the freshest homegrown talent in the urban music, live on stage with a full band. Headliners such as Roses Gabor, P Money, Lioness and Tenny Ten set the pace for open mic winners and emerging talent alike.
