‘taking over’ the multi-media arts complex in Shoreditch, East London.
Now in its third year, Industry Takeover will feature performances from
the top names in the urban music, upfront debate, and open mic sessions.

WHO'S TAKING OVER THE PANEL?
LIONESS
From the tender age of 14, Lioness has been doing he thing and making a steady way for herself in the industry. Her witty lyrics, skilled wordplay and versatile flow ensured it wasn’t long before she got noticed and was soon appearing on various radio stations such as Radio 1, Kiss 100 and one 1Xtra and cemented her presence on the underground. Catch the south London emcee heading up the panel and taking over on the main stage.

ANNIKA ALLEN
Annika Allen has her finger on the pulse in the world of music, art and entertainment. After gaining a degree in Journalism from The London College of Communication, Annika went on to work on award winning TV shows like Richard and Judy and 10 Years Younger and on productions for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. As a freelance journalist for publications including The Voice, New Nation and Pride Magazine she interviewed stars like Outkast, Neyo, Janet Jackson and Ciara. As editor of one of the fastest growing Urban magazines in the UK, her expertise and passion for the industry will be invaluable on the panel.

CHARMAINE 'CHAMS' HAYDEN
After graduating at UEL with a 1st class degree in Law, and Psychology. Charmaine Hayden decided that she no longer wished to be an ‘employee’, but instead aged 21 began building the foundations for what was to become Face4Music Ent. Starting out as a hobby Charmaine begun delegating work to models and accompanying them to shoots. Charmaine soon became the go – to girl for models in the urban music industry.

SARAH YOUNG
DJ/stylist Sarah Young is pushing boundaries in music and fashion. She has styled figures such as Mistajam, Toddla T, Jammer and Swindle and interviewed names such as Mr Hudson, Vivienne Westwood and Michelle Williams. As a DJ, Sarah has worked with world famous brands playing all over the globe from New York Fashion Week to 'Girls Love DJ's' in Holland spinning everything from Dubstep and Bashment to Old Skool Hiphop and Dirty Dutch House. Put simply, 'anything with a bass'. Currently, sheis extending DJing into production and is aiming to release her first EP at the start of 2011.

Musically combining her love of all things dance driven - dubstep and grime her bass du jour - with a passion for good melodies, Birmingham-bred RoxXxan is looking to be the missing link in the emcee game. As one of the newest signings to Polydor Records, it was the dubstep fuelled ‘Heavyweight’ (also featured on the ‘Shank’ Soundtrack) that caught the ears of A&Rs looking for a serious female rap contender. Making her presence felt on the live circuit, sparring alongside respected figures such as P Money, Goldie, Skream, Benga and Caspa, quickly separated this woman from the girls.

SHANI CUPPCAKE
After recording the hit funky house remake of ‘Say Yes’ in 2009,aged just 15, Shani began a journey that most teens could only dream of. The track received notable radio play and resided on the BBC Radio 1 xtra A-Playlist for a massive 34 weeks, and was number 1 on DJ Cameo's UKG chart. Recently gained further attention with her Acoustic 64 on SB.TV notching over 55,000 views in just 3 weeks. To date, Shani has opened for RnB sensation LLoyd , and shared the stage with the likes of Roll deep, Princess Nyah, Scorcher, Donaeo and Ms Bratt.

CHAKULA SOUL
Chakula Soul, meaning ‘food for the soul’ in Swahali, are a Hip Hop Soul R’n’B band, made up of eight musicians who all attend the BRIT school, one of the UK’s best known Performing Art Schools. The band who got together in 2009, cite their musical influences as Jill Scott, Quest Love, The Roots and D’Angelo and attribute their culturally diverse sound to their mature taste in music.
