ABOUT INDUSTRY TAKEOVER
Industry Takeover Seminar & Showcase is back to empower the next generation of emcees, singers, DJs and young music industry professionals. Urban Development, in association with Rich Mix, will be ‘taking over’ the multi-media arts complex in Shoreditch, East London. Now in its third year, Industry Takeover will feature performances from the top names in the urban music, upfront debate, and open mic sessions.

WHO'S TAKING OVER THE PANEL?

GhettsGHETTS

From Ghetto to Ghetts, the 25 year old MC made a name for himself with his no-holds-barred style and lyrics. His 2009 single, ‘Sing 4 Me’ caused a storm and was snapped up by recording label All Around the World. In 2010 Ghetts continued to grab the spotlight over his lyrical 'beef' with fellow emcee, P Money and the anticpation of his debut album.

JodyJODY McINTYRE

Journalist and political activist is best known for his popular blog, 'Life on Wheels' where he tackles topical subjects such as Israel-Palestine and student welfare head on. Jody himself was the subject of much debate following his accusations of manhandling by the police when attending the student protests in London late last year. Soon after more fuel was added to the fire when political commentor Richard Littlejohn controversially likened wheelchair user, Jody to Little Britain character Andy. Recently, Jody penned an article for The Guardian speaking out against the 2011 Census campaign.

FusionFUSION

Over the past ten years Fusion has played an integral role in many aspects of the media and music industry. As a print journalist he has written for publications such as Music Week, Time Out and Echoes. With the launch of MTV Base in 2001, Fusion was selected to be the face of the channel presenting hip hop lifestyle show, ‘The Hip Hop Review’ alongside partner Tee Max where he interviewd the likes of Dr Dre, D’Angelo and Wu-Tang Clan. Music production is also one of Fusion’s passions and is best known for his hit ' The Groundbreaker' with Fallacy. Fusion is also a regular host and panelist at music industry seminars and workshops across the country; he teaches event management and brand marketing in schools around London and has appeared as a talking head on BBC news and The Culture Show.
