EVENT: WHAT NEXT LIVE
As part of the What Next project 30 young people from across London and
with varied musical backgrounds were invited to collaborate in workshops that focused
on writing new music to perform live on the Somerset House stage.
The project which started in April, saw the What Next Tutors provide tutoring in songwriting and performance Londonwide at The Albany, the Bernie Grant Arts Centre and
Harrow Arts Centre, as well as the prestigious Somerset House. The
workshops which will culminate in a performance to 3000 people, opening the show
for N-Dubz, another London success story is set to take place this weekend.
Amongst those selected is 18 year-old rapper, Nayta who was named as one of Urban Development's '10 to Watch for 2010' as part of the Industry Takeover series in February.
