Following the initial announcement of BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekender in May of 2011, the line up for the 2-day event has been announced.

Hackney Marshes will play host some of music’s biggest artists. Announced to perform over June 23 and 24 include:

And that’s not even the final list! More names are set to be announced over the coming weeks.

There are 100,00 tickets up for grabs for the event which are all FREE and will be allocated at random. Residents in the Hackney area and the 5 other Olympic boroughs, which includes Barking & Dagenham, Greenwich, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, will be given priority. Applications for tickets will open on Monday, February 6.
