Hi P! How you feeling after your performance at Industry Takeover? 

I’m good man. Just launched my website www.ibeatthetune.com and my twitter www.twitter.com/kingpmoney so I’m here to record a track called Blackberry (Produced by Faze Miyake) for a free download I’m putting out. 

So how’d you like the new studios?

I like the set up you got going on here; it’s a good look and you’re giving people a chance that a lot of artists don’t think they can get within music. Like right now I wouldn’t have been in studio I’d have been at home chilling but it’s nice to know there’s a studio local to come down too and make some music!  

It’s all about the music… 

It’s a good man; I think there’s a lack of people willing to help others, not just in music, in anything. A lot of people can’t be bothered or haven’t got the patience but Urban Development have people who are willing to go to work everyday and do stuff for others, provide a platform, provide a studio. Someone can come record a tune, get famous and not show love back, but you lot still done that, I think that’s sick.

What have you got coming up for us?

I’ve got a mix tape with Blacks coming out on June 6th and two video’s from that have landed “Haters” and “Madness” shout out Royal T and Rude Kid. And then Blackberry that I’ve recorded today and seven other tunes will be on my site for free download so there’s a lot going on [Laughs]. 

What are the three things you need when recording in the studio?

A good engineer, most important thing, without an engineer I ain’t got a clue what I’m doing, obviously instrumentals and a good mic and that’s me. 

No diva requirements?

Naaa I’m good as long as I’ve got a good engineer.

Any funny studio stories?

Depends what you call funny [Laughs]. One time I was recording and the power went in the building and I was just stuck in the booth for agessss. I didn’t find it funny but everyone else did. 

That is a bit funny to be honest. If you could work with anyone, dead or alive, in the studio who would it be?

I really wanna be in a studio with Chase and Status, I like the way they do their thing. The way they make their beats it’s obviously with live instruments as well, that would be sick, not just the outcome of the tune but the experience would be sick!
