With his name all over the underground scene, Faze Miyake is the man behind the indisputable grime anthem of 2011  ‘Take Off’. Responsible for causing havoc on every dance floor, the buzz around the 22-year old producer hasn’t stopped since the EP was released back in May, when he introduced the grime scene to barking dogs over 140bpm beats, crafting the trademark sound of his own label, Woofer Music.

Affiliated to south east London grime crew Family Tree (Merky Ace, Ego, TKO, Shifman and M.I.K), Faze Miyake’s undeniable talent hasn’t gone unnoticed catching the attention of the many, including grime veteran Jammer, who has made ‘Take Off’ the theme track of the recently-released grime DVD ‘Lord Of The Mics 3’, and P Money (‘Blackberry’ and ‘Anthemic’ Remix). The producer has also received a huge response from DJs across the airwaves, support coming from Kiss FM’s Logan Sama and 1Xtra’s Mistajam, alongside countless support from the underground blogosphere (MTV The Wrap Up, Grime Forum, Musicovered etc.).

Although he’s been only considering music as a career for two years, it was when a friend gave him a copy of music software FL Studio at school that it all started for the London-based producer. Having coined an unmistakable raw and audacious sound, Faze Miyake has been paving his way to success throughout 2011 and the Woofer Music general is now ready to drop his second project, ‘Second Six’ EP, on January 30th.  The much-awaited EP is just the producer’s way to kick off 2012 as he promises a joint instrumental release with Birmingham’s very finest Preditah and many more grime instrumental EPs to come.  We are dusting off our gun fingers already!
