Ebru: Ones To Watch 2012 In Association With PUMA

Urban Development in association with Puma present One's To Watch 2012. Having spent many an hour sifting through demo's, label recommendations and our social networking tip offs, we hereby declare these are the acts that will be popping off this year. Look, listen and learn...

Fresh off her mini-tour across Europe and the Middle East, Ebru is definitely an exciting act coming out of the UK. With vocals reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald mixed with a touch of Amy Winehouse and Jill Scott, she is due to be the next big thing in soul according to US magazine Seventeen. Having grabbed the attention of the media and music industry, recently the soul singer has been working with the legendary Anthony Marshall, who has produced for Britney Spears, Craig David and J-Lo, and songwriter Rod Temperton, the man behind Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ and ‘Off The Wall’.

Anyone coming across her music has described it as pretty close to perfection and 2012 looks very promising for the singer, who has also been tipped off as ‘one to watch’ by The Sun. With her single ‘Set Me Free’, a cover of Supreme’s ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’, Ebru has shared European top tens with Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

Following the success of ‘Set Me Free’, Ebru is preparing to release her first single ‘Mad’ off her debut album, featuring Bora Aksu, grime veteran Durrty Goodz and production duo Milk & Sugar. Blending her rich vocals with the up-tempo production, the singer is securing herself another chart topper with ‘Mad’, setting the levels for 2012. She will be heading out to Europe and Asia again for her promotional tour soon. Keep your ears peeled.
