Certified trouble maker when it comes to the decks, Chris P Cuts has dropped his 'Best Of 2011' mix for all his supporters and music lovers. 

Mixing some hip hop bangers with serious dubstep instrumentals and throwing in some electro vibes, Chris P Cuts had us skanking hard at UD HQ with this mix which includes tracks from Tyler The Creator, Hudson Mohawke, Piff Gang, Flux Pavillion and more.

NEWS: Context Wins MTV Brand New For 2012 Unsigned Competition

Over the past few months MTV has been on the look out for the top unsigned act in the UK.

Flooded with entries, the MTV Brand New For 2012 site has been monitoring the contestants' buzz and today it has officially announced Context as the winner of the unsigned competition.

Congratulations to the Norwich lad whose grind didn't go unnoticed!

Context has been added to the MTV Brand New Shortlist alongside other nine acts including Clement Marfo & The Frontline, Delilah, Lianne La Havas, Angel and Michael Kiwanuka.

Bringing back the distinctive look of 60s cinema, Project Alfie is one of the freshest unsigned acts to look out for in 2012.

Having worked with Sway and with his track 'Beggin' included in 'R&B Collection 2012', the artist steps into the scene with his 'Project Alfie Mixtape' delivering a unique blend of soul and 'vintage' pop.

NEWS: G.R.E.Ed.S. Is Screaming 'Riot'

Spoken word artist G.R.E.Ed.S. has been about for a minute and his work has never lacked of consistency.

Breaking away from the stereotypes of spoken words, the British-Nigerian performer has merged spoken words and acoustic sounds (indie, reggae, hip-hop and soul beat patterns) for his new project 'Ready EP' alongside The Remedies. 

Long-listed for MTV Brand New Unsigned 2012, the artist has dropped in our inbox the Stinkahbell's remix of his track 'Riot' taken off the EP.

The soul man with a guitar Michael Kiwanuka has topped BBC Sound Of 2012 ahead of Odd Future's Frank Ocean, rapper Azaelia Banks, dubstep producer Skrillex and electronic duo Niki & The Dove.

Compiled by over 180 UK tastemakers including critics, bloggers and broadcasters, BBC Sound Of 2012 aims to showcase the artists who are going to blow in the year ahead.

NEWS: Dean Atta Pays Tribute To Stephen Lawrence With Poem 'I Am Nobody's Nigger'

As today Gary Dobson and David Norris were sentenced for the murder of Stephen Lawrence, the 18 years old stabbed to death in south east London in 1993, spoken-word artist Dean Atta paid tribute to the bright young man with an audio poem entitled 'I Am Nobody's Nigger'.

Stressing on how the word 'n*gga' became accepted in our society and it's integrated in the hip hop community, Dean Atta has engaged in a 'wake up call' piece of poetry and has reminded all of us the need to educate our youth and ourselves on the meaning of the infamous word.

NEWS: A.L. VS J Dilla - The LB EP (The Laid Back EP)

A.L. has recently released her long-awaited project 'A.L. VS J Dilla - The LB EP', which sees the East London bubbly singer creating magic over J. Dilla's beats.
